Everything that comes to Earth - comes here living and ends up dying. Eveything that comes to Jesus - comes to Him dead and ends up Living. Jesus is the life giver!
Romans 5:10 “For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more surely, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.”
What qualifies us for the Gift of the Gospel Robert Farrar Capon once said, “Jesus came to raise the dead. The only qualification for the gift of the Gospel is to be dead! You don’t have to be smart. You don’t have to be good. You don’t have to be wise. You don’t have to be wonderful. You don’t have to be anything.. you just have to be dead. That’s it.” And he’s right. We have to be dead in the fact that we can’t bring life to ourselves, that we have no power on our own to bring us back from the dead. Only Christ has the power to resurrect the dead! So, where is a dead area in your life? Your attitude, your approach to others, something in your worship, your devotional life or your heart of service. What is it that needs to come to life. In what areas can God bring life to you this summer? Let His life flow to you and then through you.
