Relief Efforts

For the next few Sundays we will be receiving financial offerings at the Red Tent following services. Look for the box marked Hurricane Relief. We will be giving these funds to the Foursquare Relief Fund and a portion to the American Red Cross.
Prayer is essential in these times of great devistation and here are some prayer points:

• That those who have suffered the loss of a loved one will experience the peace found only in Jesus;
• That Christians will be granted wisdom and discernment by God to know how best to respond to those who have experienced such losses;
• That those in life threatening situations will be discovered and helped;
• That limited emergency response resources will be used wisely;
• Protection for rescue workers and for emotional and physical stamina and strength
• Emotional and Spiritual blessings for the chaplains, pastors and mental health professionals who will assist in dealing with the grief and stress associatted with this disaster both now and in months and years to come;
• That each Christian will pray, give and serve if called upon to make a difference.
