Living for the Lord

In life we all make mistakes, errors and can be misguided. The most difficult times are when we are tired, frustrated and emotionally spent – these are times in which we need to stay off the front lines, guard our hearts and watch what we say. It would be best (wow would this not be great) if during such times we were able to be sequestered from life. Reading the Psalms, I find David often times mumbling and fumbling due to the life he has been called to live. The demands upon him were huge, the season in which Saul was after him was intense. At times he spoke of his life as being in a grave, or in the sea with the cable around his neck. 2 Samauel 22, he speaks of HOPELESSNESS and USELESSNESS and feeling like a part of him or more than a part is dying. But God, is faithful to him and even when he sins and is caught in adultery and later the execution of his mistresses husband – God restores him. The hardest part is the people restoration. How difficult it is for them to look past who we are and see our humanity. We all fail – yeah, you and me – yeah even me. But with God there is redemption and hope afresh. Be careful however that when you are weary, moving at a speed faster than light itself and rapidly making decisions, your judgement will be clouded - slow down and think, don’t lash out at others, watch the negative side of you and NEVER make major decisions when you are weary and worn. Stay close to God and hey, forgive others for simply being human -extend grace and mercy and be loving. I love you.
