September 8 "How To Give"

Thank you LFC for your generosity this past Sunday - let's continue to pray and give and find tangible helpful ways of reaching out with compassion and the love of Jesus to those people of the Gulf Coast Region. I love being your pastor and pray for you daily. Read the updated Foursquare New Service Report Below:
Pastor Jack Hayford, President, and Glenn Burris, Jr., General Supervisor of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, prayerfully request that every Foursquare church in the United States join the relief effort in the following expressions of love and compassion:
1. Offer corporate prayer for the safety and preservation of life, and for God's provision in the months ahead during clean up and rebuilding of the region.
2. Extend tangible expressions of hope to the people of the Gulf Coast who are affected by these natural disasters.
3. Become involved in organized, coordinated relief efforts through the Foursquare Disaster Relief Task Force as these opportunities are announced in weekly updates at www.foursquare.org.
4. Receive a special offerings at your local church. LFC has already sent out two checks this past week, one to Foursquare Relief and the other to American Red Cross. The Hurricane Relief box will again be at the RED TENT following services.
Note: Mid State Bank is sending in disaster relief and has already given more than 200,000 dollars. They had a matching funds program or up to 25,000 in their first phase and now have added another challenge of 50,000 in matching funds in the second phase.
Keep tuned to this blog for continued updates as I get them.

I just wanted to say I appreciate the time and effort to keep us (Lompoc Foursquare Church) informed on how we can actively support those involved in the devastation of Katrina. I am glad to be part of this church and glad to serve others in Jesus' name!
