In observance to our Presidents Call for a National Day of Prayer and Rememberance, the Lompoc Foursquare Church will be open for prayer from noon to 1 PM and from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. This will include some led prayer by various members of our staff and others, and some corporate and silent prayer. (No one will be called upon to pray out loud or with others that does not choose to do so.) Scripture counsels that we pray continuously. May we pray for unified hearts to serve those in need and to pray for those who have lost loved ones and those who lost homes, work, records and those who have been displaced.
Other prayer considerations include:
- That Christians would respond to appeals for help compassionately, yet wisely.
- That those giving would be protected from falling prey to fraudulent scams, and that those perpetrating them would be exposed and policed.
- Pray for church and ministry leaders to demonstrate unity and courage as they give assistance as they minister in this crisis.
- That the Christian community will present a visible united front and clear mission in modeling the love of Jesus Christ to the world in these troubled times.
- Pray for state and national leaders to outwardly support the National Day of Prayer.
- Pray that God leads our local church, Lompoc Foursquare to understand His heart in how we can best respond now and in weeks and months to come.
- Pray for Lompoc Fire Personnel who are on scene in Louisiana and other personnel from this region as well as the rest of the medical teams, resccue teams, mental health and chaplains teams and churches who are involved on the front lines.
More to come.................
